Who Hybrid Intellect is for

YOU DON'T HAVE TO BE AN ATHLETE. YOU JUST HAVE TO WANT TO IMPROVE.

Performance means different things to different people.

For one person, it might mean becoming faster on the football field. For another, completing their first half marathon. For someone else, it might mean losing weight, becoming stronger, improving fitness and building structure back into their life.

Hybrid Intellect starts with where you are now and builds toward where you want to go.

The Hybrid Intellect performance system

DON'T GUESS. ASSESS.

Training starts with understanding what you actually need.

ASSESSDIAGNOSEADAPTPRESCRIBEMONITORRETEST

01

ASSESS

Understand goals, sport where applicable, training history, schedule, competition demands, relevant injury considerations, current training, lifestyle and recovery demands. Where appropriate, complete goal-specific or sport-specific testing.

02

DIAGNOSE

Compare goals or sporting demands against current capabilities. Identify strengths, weaknesses and the physical qualities most likely to limit progress.

03

ADAPT

Determine what needs to change: strength, power, speed, capacity, threshold, economy, muscular endurance, robustness, body composition or general fitness where appropriate.

04

PRESCRIBE

Build training around the priorities. Exercise selection, conditioning, volume, intensity, recovery and weekly structure all need a reason.

05

MONITOR

Track training performance, feedback, readiness, recovery and adherence. Coaching determines when the dose needs adjusting.

06

RETEST

Repeat relevant measures, compare against baseline and identify the next priority.

Performance testing

MEASURE WHAT MATTERS.

Testing is not performed simply to collect numbers. Each test should answer a coaching question and influence the program.

Depending on the athlete and sport, testing may assess acceleration, speed, power, maximal strength, change of direction, repeated-sprint ability, aerobic capacity, threshold, muscular endurance and sport-specific performance.

FULL TESTING

For athletes able to complete the recommended battery.

PARTIAL TESTING

For athletes who can complete some but not all relevant testing.

NO FORMAL TESTING

Coaching can still begin using training history, current performance, goals, available data and coach assessment.

You are never excluded because specialised equipment is unavailable.

Everyday performance assessment

START WHERE YOU ARE. WE BUILD FROM THERE.

The same coaching philosophy applies without unnecessarily giving everyday clients an elite sports battery. Assessment may focus on bodyweight or body-composition goals where appropriate, training history, strength, cardiovascular fitness, movement capacity, lifestyle, nutrition habits, schedule, goals and consistency.

LOSE WEIGHT + IMPROVE FITNESS

Bodyweight trend, waist measurement where appropriate, training consistency, strength progression, cardiovascular performance, voluntary progress photos and general fitness markers.

BECOME STRONGER

Baseline strength, training loads, repetition performance, relative strength and retesting.

COMPLETE A FIRST RUNNING EVENT

Running tolerance, aerobic fitness, pace, heart-rate response, training consistency and event-specific progression.

YOU DO NOT NEED TO ARRIVE FIT. YOU DO NOT NEED TO ARRIVE STRONG. YOU DO NOT NEED TO BE COMPETING.

16-week performance plan

16 WEEKS. THREE PERFORMANCE CHECKPOINTS.

WEEKS 1–4

INTRODUCTION

Establish training routine, client profile, nutrition guidance, training structure and initial coaching. Testing is completed during Week 4 where appropriate.

TESTING / PROGRESS CHECKPOINT 1

Real world coaching

TRAINING HAS TO WORK IN THE REAL WORLD.

Most people do not have unlimited time to train.

They have jobs, travel, relationships, changing schedules, sport commitments and responsibilities outside of training. I know what that is like.

Hybrid Intellect is built around that reality: structured training that develops strength, endurance and performance without pretending training is the only thing happening in your life.

The program needs to fit the person, not the other way around.
